The Island Hideaway - a boho paradise in Mallorca

The Island Hideaway - a boho paradise in Mallorca
Being summer a busy time of the year for me,
I use every free bit of time to enjoy the island during this beautiful season:
taking mini trips around Mallorca,
discovering new spots while treating myself to simple, yet precious pleasures.

Last week was the perfect time to combine a girls weekend (my dear friends visited from Barcelona) with some well deserved me time after a busy week: with the launch of our new Island Sunrise styles and the new autumn collection in the making (we are in love with the styles that are coming and we suspect you will be, too!), well, the plan of an island getaway was just too tempting!

I was excited to book my stay at The Hideaway by MiMar, in Santanyí, for one night, before joining the girls in Cala Figuera. Kiki and Berndt usually take longer bookings but I was lucky as that night was free between bookings.
I arrived, checked in and it was love!

The mix of vintage, beach boho island style of The Hideaway
and the quiet, relaxing vibe
inspired me to unplug, and dive into a holiday mode within seconds.

Fashion wise, our Camelia kimono was the perfect piece
to throw on to enjoy a slow paced Friday.

After a good night sleep I headed to Santanyí market early in the morning, groceries shopping for breakfast and lunch.

Santanyí is one of my favourite areas of the island, and the perfect base to visit the beautiful beaches around Mondragó natural reserve, Cala Figuera, Cala Llombards, so I put together a mini travel guide (see end of the post).

Mini travel guide by Sunvibes:

Shop at Santanyí market for fresh groceries (Wednesdays and Saturdays) and and at MiMar Lifestyle for gypset dresses and boho home wares.
Magical dinners at Villa Lorenzo in Cala Figuera (for the homemade, delicious food in a mediterranean patio) and S'Embat (for the good vibes, live music and vegetarian options too).
Sunbathe and swim at Cala Llombards, Ses Covetes, Cala S'Almonia.
Tip: bring some water shoes to access all the best rocky swimming spots. Switch off the phone for few hours and enjoy all the island beauty :)
Thank you for reading this far. I really hope you enjoyed this post and maybe it inspires you to take that well deserved mini holiday and if so, let me know in the comments, and I'll make sure to write more about the island life in the near future.

Hace a wonderful new week sunshines!
